OPEN ACCESS STATEMENT AND LICENSE
Reconstructing the Past: Journal of Historical Studies supports open access for all types of academic work. All articles and review papers published in our journal can be accessed freely immediately upon publication, without subscription or other barriers. Our aim is to make research freely available to the public and to support the global exchange of knowledge.
We do not charge any fees for article processing, evaluation or submission. We do not charge fees for downloading articles and reviews published in our journal, for the non-commercial (scholarly) use of our readers. All the articles published in our journal are protected by copyright. Reconstructing the Past: Journal of Historical Studies allows the download, copy, reproduction, and translation of articles, free of charge, for non-commercial use only, provided that the integrity of the article is maintained and the appropriate citation information ((i.e. author(s), article title, journal, volume, issue, page numbers) is fully available. Any translations, for which a prior translation agreement with the editorial board has not been established, must insert the following statement: “This is an unofficial translation. “Reconstructing the Past: Journal of Historical Studies” has not endorsed this translation.” Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. The work will be simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License , that allows others to share the work. However, this right will be conditioned by an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and of its initial publication in this journal. We use the CC BY-NC-ND license (Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivs), which only allows interested persons to download the published works and share them with others as long as they credit the author. They can’t change the work’s content in any way or use it for commercial purposes. All authors publishing in the journal accept this statement as terms of publication. Authors, who choose to participate in our open access journal and would like to have their paper freely available online, will be asked to sign an open access license agreement.
